Bridges

A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth. Just like a bridge over a river starts and ends on land, a bridge in your mouth must attach to the surrounding teeth for support. Your bridge can be made from gold, alloy or porcelain.

There are two kinds of bridges: removable and fixed. You can easily take your removable bridge out by yourself to clean it, but only a dentist can remove a fixed bridge. A fixed bridge is different because it attaches your artificial teeth to your jaw or under your gum tissue.
