Meet Dr. Lauren Callan
Dr. Callan received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry. Since graduating, she has worked at a few offices in the Portland metro area and is particularly excited to join the team at Belmont Family to serve her fellow residents of the Mount Tabor neighborhood.
Extensive Experience
Dr. Callan practices general dentistry and offers preventive, restorative, orthodontic, endodontic, surgical, and cosmetic services. She’s passionate about expanding her knowledge with continuing education courses to stay up to date with the latest literature and technology in order to deliver the highest level of care to her patients.
She believes in the importance of educating her patients and empowering them with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their oral health. She recognizes and appreciates that every patient is unique, with their very own set of needs, goals, motivations, concerns, and preferences. She is mindful of these qualities when working alongside her patients to create their custom treatment plan, and throughout every step of delivering their care to ensure a gentle, comfortable experience.
Life Outside of the Dental Office
When Dr. Callan is not at the office, she enjoys exploring the Portland food and cocktail scene, traveling to new places, baking bread, and staying active.
She lives in the Mount Tabor neighborhood with her husband, Reid, who is a software engineer who makes productivity apps. They got married during dental school (and are actually high school sweethearts!), and they have a golden retriever, Scout, and a cat, Keiko.
Fun Facts About Dr. Lauren Callan!
Dr. Callan went to a French immersion school up until high school, and nearly all her classes were taught in French. She actually learned to read in French before she could do so in English.
